POETRY: I WILL
WRITTEN BY BERNARD GABRIEL OKURUT
I will give you my ‘Mays and Junes’,
The stars and full moons.
I will serve you my heart for breakfast
And my smile for dinner.
I will love you in the rains and kiss
Away your tears.
I will stitch your broken heart back together
And shelter you from stormy weather.
I will hide your heart high in the clouds
While I hunt and kill your fears.
I will hire the stars to sing in your dreams
So that you won’t be afraid to sleep.
I will walk through fire
Just to keep you my own.
My heart will be your throne,
And my love, your crown.
Poem by,
Bernard Gabriel Okurut….
A hurting poet.
I write because I hurt,
I hurt because I hate.
I hate because I loved
Someone who broke my heart.
Someone I loved,
But never loved me back.
Someone who treated me like a rag,
To be used and dumped!
