REMINISCING ON OUR PAST – ADEGBITE ARINOLA
Would you still love me?
When my sweetest memory was your message
My finger tangled in your soul
Your love weakens my thought.
As I spread my arms for your love,
Your silence answered me.
All those unspoken words behind your tightly clasped lips,
Ended up betraying me.
Don’t touch me
Stop saving me
Let my blood flow
Let these wounds heal
I’ll be okay.
I am looking in the mirror silently to hold on,
I am screaming toward the empty image
reminding myself to be real!
Hoping that my voice uncensored,
Cause, I won’t be silenced.
filled with truth, laced with fire
Embraced with rage and anger
I fixed you every time you broke me.
Let go of my heart
I no longer crave for you love.
