CHOICE – OLABISI PEACE

I heard the cock crow for the third time, it is a dawn of another day. Another day of struggle. But why? Why do I have to be born into this type of unpalatable situation? Why was I not born with a silver spoon? Why can I not have what I wanted? Why was I made like this? These questions and such others may have consciously or unconsciously crossed our mind. Maybe if we were given a chance to choose the kind of background, we want, probably we would have asked for a better one. Alas! We don’t.Making Choices, is essential in our day to day lives. The choice you make, makes you. Do I have a Choice? Yes, you do. Your background, may not be comfortable and convenient, but you do have a choice of either getting up and make changes, or stay on the ground, giving up. You may be given birth out of wedlock, or probably your parents told you, “you are mistake”, never see yourself a victim of circumstance, that’s not your identity. Do not allow, what you cannot change, hinder you from changing, those things that can be changed. You can still be the best of yourself, even in that unpalatable background of yours, it begins with a decision, a choice, to come out, irrespective of what life throws at you. I see young teens, with no sight of who they are made to be. They choose to live a life without the right mindset, a mindset that can turn the unfavorable situations, into a desirous future. You do have a choice. Life will always put options at us, the choice you make, plays a crucial role in what you become. Options are either rejected or accepted. Great men, made the choice of breaking through, despite the, rough background, they have. It all started with a choice. I choose life. I choose to be the best of myself. I choose not to allow my environment shut down my potentials. I choose to learn every learnable. I choose to make a difference. I choose not to repeat history. I choose to push through. I choose to develop myself. I choose to invest in myself and future.I choose to impact lives. I choose to be the greatest of all times. You have a choice. Choose who you want to be, choose who you don’t want to be. You can decide how you want to live. You either get up from your background or give up. Live to the Zenith of yourself. These choices form a foundational step into greatness. You may not have a privilege of choosing, some things, but you have a choice in choosing, many things. Decide on the choice to make. This day, Make a choice.
