… Says Awards Will Spur Him To Selflessly Serve Humanity
Basking in the euphoria of receiving series of awards in recognition of his excellent performance on air for nation building and rendering selfless service to humanity, the popular English and Yoruba broadcaster, Oladipupo Oluwatobi popularly known as Superlight Presenter, has said the awards will spur him to continue with his selfless service to humanity.

The Popular Radio Diamond said this on Friday night (18/05/19) in OAU, Ile-Ife, shortly after receiving the OAP( On Air Personality) Of The Year, 2019 Award in Southwest Nigeria at an annual leadership award organised by Prestige Anchor Leadership Empowerment and Capacity Building (PALEC). The award cut across all higher institutions in Southwest Nigeria (130 institutions). Some of them are OAU, UI, UNILORIN, AAUA, MAPOLY, COVENANT, UNIOSUN, OOU, OUI etc. Superlight who is a student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko, Ondo state ( AAUA), Political Science in 400 level was announced as the winner after thorough screening and online voting. Radio Diamond fans took to the social media to express their happiness as their number one radio anchor emerged as the winner of the award. Other categories of awards include Media Persoality of the year, Exemplary leader of the year, Campus journalist of the year, among others.

When expressing his gratitude at the award ceremony, he said “I am grateful to God for the talent he has given me, I thank my fans for believing in me and I appreciate PALEC awards for doing good job to appreciate notable people ” He added that the award is a call for him to do more for building the nation. Earlier, he announced that up till when he received the award, the individual behind his nomination for the category was still unknown to him. He therefore advised students, staffs and other people to always put in their best for everything as people are always watching them.

The CEO of Superlight International Communications Network( SICON), is known with interesting programmes on air, that thrill people to a happy mood. He has worked with various media houses but now at Radio AAUA, 90.3FM, Akungba, Ondo state. He is an editor, producer, newscaster and presenter. Superlight is known with unique voice and unique style of programme.
Superlight has spread his tentacle across all states in the Southwest Nigeria. He has received various awards for the good work and the latest one is this PALEC Awards. His programmes have attracted accolades from different dignitaries around including The Vice Chancellor of AAUA, other principal officers, groups, organization and individuals. The fervent Yoruba presenter has been known with programmes that build homes and correct societal menance.
The award ceremony was attended by dignitaries across the country. Also, the chairman of the occasion, Dr Ekpekwe, congratulated all award recipients and charged them to stay focused. Highlights of the event includes, talk, dancing competition, comedy, musics, award presentation and lots more.
