The Pains Of Being Human
Sometimes The hurt we feel makes tears too sweet and
Crying to easy, and all you can give is a bitter smile.
Anxiety, worry, fear of the unknown, depression are psychological torments
That are never far from humans,
Sometimes life’s woes get so bad and all you can do is give a void laughter
That holds no happiness,
You feel the gloom around you,
So thick you can almost hold it,
When people fail you and friends disappoint,
Sometimes you try to fly,
And challenges and setbacks push and pull you down
And you start to feel yourself hit rock bottom,
Just remember that the only place left to go is up,
When your way gets cluttered with the debris of discouragement,
Failure and frustration, and life situations that are beyond your control,
At times you’ll feel so old and behind on the race to your future,
You’ll feel time beginning to slip through your fingers like so many grains of sand held too tight,
When you lose the courage to fight on, and the strength to push fails you,
When your mind gets clouded with doubt and grief,
Always remember that the night is darkest before dawn,
The Storms are fiercest before calm,
Remember that your confusion thrives on chaos,
So relax your mind and meditate,
Your failure is birthed in fear,
So stop allowing your imagination get away from you,
Be the lord over your own thoughts,
Be positive, be optimistic, shun negativity, eschew pessimism,
The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step,
And most importantly, never forget that you’re one choice/decision away
From a totally different life,
Tomorrow is decided today,
All you have to be is proactive,
Be prepared to conquer your fears,
Because human you may be,
But you were created with willpower,
Which you can wield over all of life’s situations!
Life is only whatever you make of it.
