TOPIC: The Tenacity of Nigerian Youths in National Development and Leadership Roles.
The youths of a nation are the “agents of posterity” that galvanize, quantify, shape and direct the future of a nation with an indispensable, invaluable and transformative mentality acquired and learnt overtime, to become an agent of transformative values, norms and characters, nationally and globally.
Generally, the tenacity of youths in national building is based on the premise of “education” education is the best legacy, it is paramount to develop the innate potential of a youth. For national growth, education is a pertinent tool for drastic and measurable change, national development is not measured based on the parameter of economic stability alone but in terms of youth development, education is a platform of expression for youths to participate effectively and adequately in ‘’national development and leadership role”. The government needs to make a review of the academic system of this great nation, to efficiently create interest, motivate the youths and enhance standard literacy of the future.
Moreover, “politics” is essential in leadership roles and national development of the society, youths must participate in all sphere of politics efficiently and effectively for drastic transformation Of the society, fear and frustration are one of the major factors of low participation of Nigerian youths in politics and decision making, the political system of Nigeria needs to be amended to accommodate the youths not to view politics as a game of life and death but to gear them towards the achievement of leadership roles. The youths possess a lot of vibrant energy and creative thinking faculty, which can contribute positively to Nigerian politics if duly harness for national growth.
Furthermore, “unemployment and insecurity” is a diminishing factor to the tenacity of youths in national development and leadership roles, unemployment and insecurity is a significant global problem affecting the growth of the youths and the society at large, there are vibrant young minds who are not job seekers but job creators but lack the knowledge, financial power and technical knowhow, to actualize their thoughts, vision and dream, expressive platform to develop ideas should be created. The security of the youths is paramount to national growth and preservation of the future of this great nation, the youths must feel secure with less pressure in order to develop the society in the desire direction, it is important to understand that motivation in the right direction would create a positive change to these phenomenon of unemployment and insecurity to aid national development and leadership roles by the youths.
However, youths may be 50% of Nigerian population but they are 100% of our future, I believe an apt value of education, politics [decision making], employment and security will transform Nigeria into a developed state.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA
