ILU AJE (TOWN OF WITCHES): A TOWN IN OYO STATE

TOPIC: The Tenacity of Nigerian Youths in National Development and Leadership Roles.

“ Nothing in this world can take the place for persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent “. The tenacity or the determination of Nigerian youths today towards the ability or desire towards national development or leadership role deals on education. As one grows in education, we learn the idea to build, inspire and to achieve something arises.

Nigerian youths are designed with aspirations, goals and dreams. They have a driven force to achieve something either in national development or in leadership roles. Recently Nigerian youths are proceeding to make this world a world of creativity. Youths are becoming more productive today, between the ages of 18-45. In our world today, there is a growing facility of youths having an attribute of hardwork. They have a quality at which modifies or brings them to a manner in which they lead, build or make a country. If youths are given a blank cheque to provide ideas that will help Nigeria’s development, it will be more useful and productive than the old because they will write in a form of creative ideas. Nigeria youth is belittled in contributing to Nigeria’s economy and are denigrated in achieving their efforts in Nigeria. Tenacity of Nigerian youths in National Development or Leadership roles is in a form of determination of youths towards development and showing leadership personalities or roles of youths in National Development.

National development entails providing water, education, helping the poor e.t.c. This aspect makes a country grow and better either internal or external. The determination of Nigerian youths in promoting National development is nation-wide. In our daily lives, we watch various aspects at which youth enforcement are established. Example of such youths include; Annie Macaulay- Idibia who is a 39 year old lady who has an organisation like an empowerment program which gives food, money and dresses to young women. She is like a leader who makes people to feel among in the society. She is emphasizing on needs for Nigerian women and also children who feels there is nothing in this life or the word “ poor” is made for them. This is an example of a youth who is leading a way of light to the people.

Youth tenacity towards music for development is a vital role in the global development. Music helps people, it meditates to their hearings, it speaks to them, it enlightens the darkness in their life, it glows their spirit, it beautifies themselves, it speaks to the nation, helps the nation in general. The music by some youths have a meaning that contributes the role of Nigerian today.

Finally, leadership perspective found in youths today. Looking at the side of politics, youths are contesting for the post on the part of politics. The tenacity of Nigerian youths in the aspect of national development is a helpful part in Nigeria. I conclude with this “ you cannot build a house without a foundation, the bricks, blocks helps the foundation”…..so as youths tenacity to Nigeria development helps Nigeria.
