TOPIC: The Tenacity of Nigerian Youths in National Development and Leadership Roles.
AGAINST ALL ODDS
While they deceived us
That we are tomorrow’s champions
Yet next day ceases to come
Like period of an expectant mother
The doggedness of youth in Niger-area
Is eagle amidst birds, sharp and distinct.
Our resilence souls are forming path in all climes
Like snake through desert dunes
In sport, art, politics and fashion
Only that we’re compelled to consent the ripened
As they are with experience
What about the youth with vigour?
Against all odds
Nigeria youths are erecting stanchions
To solidify the feeble foundation that was built on mud
Multi tasking like a boy walking and chewing gum
Putting several irons in flame
Even against all odds.
Our role is to frame the nation
With our strength though odds rise against us like furious ocean
But youths are burning the candle at both ends
In Africa, Nigeria paces ahead
In art and entertainment
Versatile like pocket-knife
Whiter collar or blue collar
Only to participate in the rising of the nation.
Just to emanate growth
Fulani found in east and Emeka found in west
We are thriving, hoping for greatness
Nigeria youths’ determination is sun in the day
In leadership we are moon in the night.
