HIS HEART – ADEGBITE ARINOLA AND ADERIBIGBE INIOLUWA
HIS HEART
Only when your heart beats
Mine won’t stop producing heat
Only in your beating heart
Our memories are down to earth
All in our own image
Those sound won’t stop
We’re the architect of our own misfortune
We have to dance to this tune
Now my heart is awake to the sound of silence
You choose to love in fallacy
I’m the cure to the poison
Let go of the medicine
I’m capable of owning you.
Only if your heart beats for me
I’m still loyal after watching you
I’m honest because I keep my promise
You! Look me in the eye lover
You say you won’t leave me ever
Here I am, thinking in the uber
About what you meant by forever
Eleyinjuege, Arewa, Aponbepore
The sweet names now purge
Mr lover, the memories were once clear as crystal
But now fading away like a dream from the blue
Your touch I no longer know
I’m here Adam, talk to me you cheat!
All I feel in this harmattan is heat
I can’t think!
But I know, we were meant to be
You claim to have heart
No!
It’s more like a little scrap.
All you care is to secure your heart.
