I AM BORN AND SHALL DIE
I am born and I shall die
And if I die just when I die
Don’t bring flowers to my grave
Don’t come crying, be brave
Don’t you wail like a widow
Don’t sing me songs of sorrow
I am born and I shall die
And if I die just when I die
Say I live the world next door
And they should cry no more
Tell them I was not killed by a man
And no man born of a woman can
Don’t make sacrifices to any deity
I am my own God in my family.
To the Morgue and its ATTENDANTS
If I die just when I die
Don’t dress me with rags but a king
I be admired by women I would fling
Don’t put wool-like cottons in my nose
It’s scary and even God knows
Don’t cut and steal my man hood
It’s an abomination to man’s hood
But you can put condoms in my casket
With a thick duvet or a blanket
There is life after death not judgement
Abiding sorrowfully in merriment
And if you flout this orders given
I will haunt you now, then and even.
To my Hons and fellow COMRADES
Sing me Aluta songs like mad
Sing to the peak of your voice
Like it’s a struggle without choice
I shall dance the rhythm of the song
With Aluta E’s where I belong
Tell them I am born and shall die
And if I die just when I die
Tell them the struggle is a burden
But victory is sure and certain
Tell them the struggle shall continue
Even in dearth it will continue
To my baleful pathetic FIENDS
You can not be my friends
Don’t cry and scream you miss me
This is where you want me to be
Don’t speak of your penitence
You are full of deep pretense
I am born and I shall die
But if I die just when I die
I will Fitch you out one by one
I swear u will regret being born
To my cruel and unkind UNCLES
With broken backs and bloody knuckles
My death might be a bolt from the blue
Am sure I shall die when it’s due
Don’t come crying like you care
Don’t want to see a single tear
Don’t even drink or eat at my burial
Else would be death within a funeral
Tell them the plots you led
And how you wanted me dead
I am born and I shall die
And if I die just when I die
I will eat up your family
No survivor not even your progeny.
To my church and fellow CLERGYMEN
Don’t tell them I was a Christian
Don’t say I have lived a good life
And have gone to be in Paradise
Tell them I was a traditionalist
Theologist and never an agnorist
I am a sinner and Christ came me
And not the righteous you plea
Tell them I never believed in god
But I believe in him alone God
Tell them am born and shall die
And if I die just when I die
Tell them you killed God not me
Tell them you killed him before me.
