ROMEO AND JULIET – BY JANNA ONYEMAOBI
SHARE THIS POST:

It all begins with a street brawl
Between a montague and capulet
These servant like there masters are sworn enemies
Two young people from different sides
Two lovers whose path crossed.

Meeting each other was never planned
But it was meant to happen
Romeo attends the ball
at the capulet house
with the hope of meeting someone else
But as fate would have it
He meets juliet and falls for her.

Romeo being a Montague
Juliet been a capulet
Only means one thing
Their love would never be seen as right
Ongoing fight between who’s wrong and who’s right.

Spilling bloods and ending lives
Not willing to hear each other out
Anger, fury, ire, rage
All dwelling in the heart of men
Would these two ever be together?
Would these two ever have a happy ending?

Juliet holds the solution in her hands
A little sacrifice hoping it will bring all these to an end
She stares at the poison
going in the motion
Ready to give up her life for love.

Romeo comes in
sees juliet dead
He’s broken and shattered
He’s beyond repair
He takes his life

Juliet awakens
She finds romeo dead
Her little sacrifice closed the gate of love
Determined to open it
putting an end to all the pain
she takes her life.
