“Can’t she just do without making up,” I thought to myself. I’ve known Cassie from a distance since our first year in the university. Let me just say, I got to know her by the reason of her outstanding beauty, which was made known to me the first time I saw her natural face, the sad story being that I never saw her face again in its natural state up till the present.
We weren’t in the same department, bur we had same faculty, so, I got to meet her frequently during classes in our first year, but unfortunately, I saw the “pancaked” version of her. Eyebrows drawn, having resemblance of wings, powdered face, lipsticks, in short, heavy make up and of course, a welcoming smile. It was routinely.
It appeared as though she was solely dependent on make-up. It was as bad as anything that she couldn’t just step out of the hostel to get something at the store just few steps away from the hostel without make-up
Each day that that I got to meet her, questions upon questions popped in my head. one of the popular question was, “can’t this girl just go a day without make-up?” so much questions that I kept muttering to myself.

Then, one day, I got an answer – NO! answers, befitting answers, satisfying answers.
She felt that going a day without make-up would diminish her
She didn’t believe in her own natural face.
She felt that she looked better on make-up
In Summary, she lost her self esteem to heavy incessant make-up
NOTE: I’m not saying make up is bad, but never ever trade your self esteem for anything.
