JUST A WORD. BY ADEGBITE ARINOLA

Maybe a word from you
Might ease my pain
I’m lost in your world
Despite all your words.
Put the blame on her.
When you left,
Gradually I melt
We turned to strangers
We dwell in illicit affairs
Was I not enough?
Yet you seek above
You were on and off
I replaced you with dove
Thought you were made for me
I mocked my sanity
Blamed my mentality.
Can’t question you
Your love blindfolded me
In the end our little
Hope capsized.
